too many people believe that some politician is gonna save us from the mess our government has become. we need to save ourselves, each of us, not rely on someone else to do it for us. Doesn't matter who you vote for, the media tells us who won without ever counting the votes and the sheeple eat it up. The only difference this next time will be the threat of W's world war 3. Most people will be too afraid to do anything but vote for the least horrible candidate, the one they think is gonna stop the war, or the militaristic police state our country has already become, or save them from whatever they are most afraid of.
I'm not scared, and I'm not settling for anyone a bit less horrible than the rest. It's a game I choose not to play. To vote makes you responsible for the government's actions. Look at what our government has done lately. How many people claim responsibility? Most want someone to blame instead, let's blame the idiot in the White House, it's not our fault! This is the real problem, and it's not gonna just go away on its own.

Obama the “person” is much less important than Obama the “message” … and the message is … it's time to take our power back. Pure and simple.
The “One Million Strong” is about US … not about Obama.
Glad to be back. Well, I'm not “back” … just taking baby steps. We're in packing-mode at the moment and getting the logistics sorted out for our move to Washington. A lot of work.

Maybe I am a little suspect these days as to whether anything “we, the people” say means anything. We have the Bohemian Grove in California where future Presidents are groomed, the documentary on HBO “Hawking Democracy” on how the electronic voting booths in Florida recorded “inaccurate” votes before the current Bush's first term, and there is in Minnesota a belief among some that Paul Wellstone's plane did not go down from natural causes (for those who don't know the story, he was one of the few senators who voted against the Iraq War, was vocal against the war, and was running for a third term. He was enroute to a funeral in Northern Minnesota, the weather was not the best, and his plane was found facing the wrong way.)
I still vote, I still speak out for justice, peace, and community, don't like where we are headed with ID chips, unobstructed wire tapping, invading countries against the explicit wishes of the UN to not do so, and Do believe that the answer lies in together we Can make a difference.
