Thank you Keith for this, this is an eye opener.  I actually have mentioned this idea before in one of my blogs (I forgot which one) talking about creativity.  I either read it from The Artist's Way or from Alexandra Stoddard that we should write sometimes or create something that seems like created by the opposite sex.  Well I thought that was easy for me to do, since I am more yin than yang.  And I am laughing because my result is 90% male from that website?  I never knew I could be that butch?  LOL

I also don't think the tool is saying how gendered someone's writing is, but rather how sure they are that the person is male or female. That is, if you get a 90% male, the tool is 90% sure that you're of that gender. I could be wrong, but that's ordinarily how those explanations work.

This is amazing.  I wonder what criteria they use to classify?  Siona, may be onto to something.  Maybe the more one “speaks” Gaian, the harder it is to figure out.  I tried my Friday Five blog, answer to being tagged, and got the same response you got for Aley.

So, I tried my homepage but I got the same message.  Could it be that the women at Gaia are a cut above gender?  Hum, I wonder if we chose someone who is a real girly-girl to test it on.

Anyway, sorry whoever created this monster.  It doesn't work.  Reminds me of the good old days when Gaia was trying to classify who was the “cream of the crop” in the community.  It doesn't work folks.  Not with authentic, complicated - nonprogrammed robotic - people.

I love this for myself; because even though it may be a flawed tool;  the synchronicity of your blog and the findings are just AMAZING!!![No surprise there, right?!]

just today, on the Ambie pod, I mentioned to Andrew: “I guess I always try to think of people as people first and men and women second;” which is how i think about myself, actually. I feel  more of a woman than feminine; specially as I go more with thought than emotion in my decisions.

And I was talking to my husband today, about male-female balance, and we were linking it to the stock market [DO NOT ASK !!! I have several theories of this sort];  and also wondering if my mis-step in communications are always with men [no, they're not; that's equally balanced]; so, this blog coming today is a welcome interjection.

Loving it, and specially the Gaian language Aley , Siona, and others have invented :0 !!!!

This program is whacked and in the closet. I tried it on many of my female friends and they all came back as Males. I came back as 98% Male so I know it's correct. :-P

How funny is that? I had to try myself and did so using my gaia home page, (not in English apparently), one of my blogposts - 89% dude, both of my off gaia blogs- 98% dude and 86% dude. 

I would be very interested to know if anyone at all has come up female.

LOL…..  Hmmmmfffff!  I pride myself on my English composition - and I did check it out to see if it would give me the same result, which it did.  I also tried it on both of my web-sites, and the results were 72% for one and 70% for the other - both leaning toward “Male”.  Last time I checked, I didn't qualify…..  :O)

An aside to Lars:  the NSA thingy was totally off the wall on me, too.  Guess I make a really good camillion.  LOL

Maybe it's the butterfly thing - are butterflies male or female? ROFL

Keith and All, what a very, very interesting anaylsis…my first thought when I saw that I was in the category with Aley and four others who I believe to be female and each of whom I admire was an honor…

For anyone who wonders, I am here in this incarnation as a straight female so there is nothing left to the imagination there or no alternative sexual identity to factor into this equation. 

My second thought was that  my androgynous genes from ages past and future must be showing and thus it would probably look to an AI to be an off-planet language and certainly not English.

So, this confirms what I have always known…I am just not like the majority of the earth population…LOL!!!


This was fun and whoever or whatever came up with that program it would be interesting to see what kind of criteria it was fed…very interesting indeed!

in my opinion, masculin and feminine things and sexauality are all just societal constructs that dont matter one bit. if you actually care what 9/10ths of the world says about who you should be attracted to, or what you should act like just because of your reprodctive organs, than you need to grow up.

I think I figured out why it's 94% certain I am a male.  In one of my blog posts I just wrote “I am a male” 94 times and “I am a female” 6 times, by accident.  You probably all did the same type of thing.  Mystery solved.

I leave the site for a week & lol, my gender changes:).

Memory reminds me that…. back in the 80s my “definitely male” companion & me “definitely female” read several 'couple compatible' surveys…. for fun we each filled them out & in answering the questions we both declared that those folks were old-ways in their thinking… they clearly had not caught up with the current understanding that “WE ALL embody the cultural conditioning, as well, many of us have dropped a lot of cultural conditioning and recognize that both female & male qualities & abilities reside in every one of us.”  We laughed…. & said that there are no test for those who have become WHOLE beings: Gaians:)!

I apparently am the most girlie-man guy on Gaia - my blog analysis says that I am 100% a woman –  The power of my Tutu must be strong within me!

Isn't it interesting that we still discuss these distinctions between ourselves, when we all came from a love so divine, it has no gender or bias.

That is what I call divinity.

I take comfort that a computer program can be so completely wrong – it confirms the need we all have for a human touch.
